I’m Salman, and I’m the one behind Appliary.
I didn’t start this site as a marketing project. I started it because I’ve spent about 10 years going into people’s homes, one broken appliance at a time — refrigerators that won’t cool, washing machines that leak from the bottom, dryers that run but don’t heat, dishwashers that stop mid-cycle, ovens with dead igniters, microwaves that spark, water heaters that trip the breaker, AC units that blow warm air in the middle of summer. I hold a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, and that technical foundation is what I built the hands-on experience on top of.
Here’s the thing I’ve seen over and over doing this work: most people call a technician, get told “the compressor is dead, you need a new unit,” pay for a full replacement — and the actual problem was a $15 relay or a clogged defrost drain. That’s not a rare exception. It happens constantly, especially with refrigerators, which is genuinely my specialty and the core of what I do — but it’s not the only thing I handle. I go in, diagnose what’s actually wrong using the same troubleshooting sequence I’d use on a service call, and I tell you honestly whether it’s a $15 fix or a $500 one. I’d rather lose a sale than sell someone a part they don’t need.
That’s the standard every guide on this site is held to. I don’t write these from theory or from reading other websites — I write them from what I’ve actually diagnosed and fixed, brand by brand, model by model. When I photograph a part or a wiring diagram in a guide, it’s from my own service calls, not a stock photo of a similar-looking part.
I run this as a door-to-door service — no storefront, I come to you. If something on this site doesn’t fully solve your problem, or you’d rather have someone come take a look in person, you can book a service call directly, and I’ll walk you through it myself.
